Winburg wines are characterized by the special selection of the grape material. They come from single vineyards. Physiologically highly ripe grapes produce unique wines characterized by the terroir. Winburg wines usually mature for one to several years in wooden barrels.
The name Winburg originated from parts of the first names of Karl Renner’s parents: Erwin and Burgi Renner.
15-35 year old vines grow on Opok soils.
“Opok” is a solidified sedimentary rock, formed by sea and river deposits.
The soil has a high clay content, can store heat well and offers the grapes optimal ripening conditions.

Natural wine. Beautiful aroma with a delicate nutmeg note. Full-bodied and spicy, yet light-footed and uncomplicated to enjoy.
